Parkes Property - property listing

Aerion Technologies has developed a Web Application and interface for Parkes Property that displays current properties listed on RealEstate.com.au. This system front-end design was created by Dig Creative, our graphic design partners. The system allows visitors to search through properties and save their searches as well as create a wishlist of properties.

Property information from RealEstate.com.au is pushed in the format of XML files onto Parkes Property's FTP server. The server searches for new XML files periodically and updates specific property information with correct details that is all contained in a MySQL database.

A MySQL database was chosen as the underlying data source for the system due to the performance gains over a strict XML system.
