Like anything in life we can choose to learn by banging our head against a brick wall until we eventually breakthrough, or we can surround ourselves with experts and mentors that can guide us along the way.
Developing software is complex, it you are going down this path either in your business or as a startup please get some good people around that have executed in the past. All to often I have seen non-technical people attempt to manage and lead a development project either completely fail to deliver or spend considerably more time and money than what they could have if they had a great team around them.
